Farmhouse Table Flop

<p>I placed an order with Play Ventures on the 29th September 2016, for a Farmhouse style table and benches. I was sent a quote for the work, and I paid the deposit on the 3rd October 2016. On the quote, Play ventures clearly stated that it would take 15 - 21 working days to complete the table and benches.</p> <p> </p> <p>I had receieved no feedback from them, until I called them on the 18th October 2016. Jan explained to me that they had an issue with the delivery of the table tops, but they would have our table delivered on Friday 21st October. Friday came and went, and no table was delivered. I spoke to Jan on the phone late that afternoon, where he explained to me that they had an issue with warping of the thinner tops. I was then told they were going to look at thicker tops on Monday. I had to call him on Monday after lunch for an update, where I was told we would have our table by Friday 28th October, latest. Friday 28th arrives, no communication from their side, so I have to call them again. Jan tells me that he can't arrange a farmhouse table for me, so he's going to refund my deposit.</p> <p> </p> <p>Although Jan was polite, it is unprofessional not to communicate with your clients. In the end, I wasted a month of my time and I have no table. Extremely frustrating for both parties- I'd recommend not ordering a farmhouse style table from Play Ventures.</p>
