Repaired my Note 9 beyond economical repair!!!!!!
**** **** ****. once the repaired my Samsung Note9. the back glass kept on detaching from the device. causing the back glass to break. Well, it's been replaced twice and now the device is so inoperable it's ghost typing and causing my calls to drop. Now the device is useless. Platinum repairs need to replace the unit and they told me they have the device but for some reason, the Spen does not latch properly. Not making sense to me as I would guess that a new Note9 will be in perfect working order, I asked them to send me a picture of the unit and the Spenn issue and while I was close to them I decided to go around and go see for my self, at there repair shop and HQ I asked to see the unit and what the problem was,, Well they never had the unit there in the 1st place. and trying to show me 2nd hand devices. Well, I'm really glad most of you are very happy with the service that you experienced. But I can say I hate been **** to my face and been promised that they will replace the device that they innitiatialy broke. promise after promise. What client service is that?
I would like to say thanks to my insurer that instructed that Platinum Repairs need to replace my device and after making some necessary waves all come together.
I was asked to remove this review but I feel that this should be a reminder and a wake-up call for all parties involved that we as a consumer do not pay a monthly premium just to be left out in the cold at the end of the day when it comes to claiming. Luckily I have Momentum that is there although I also needed to remind them that I was been overlooked in this matter.
Thus I must say, Platinum repairs did, in fact, come to the table and order the device I wanted although the device is an old Samsung Note9, That is what I wanted and they got a NEW one for me even if it might seem like a relic its something that I'm used to and love.
Needed some updates but the same as this post or "review" I got what I wanted.
The only thing I do worry about is that they wanted the old device back with the box and charger... Hope that they don't intend to resell that device as I really feel sorry for those who might get that device. I did remove the SN and MaC from the back of my old device.
I do Thank Platinum Repairs for the effort and speediness in getting my new Note9 but again I need to raise a concern.
I was told that I would get a screen protector with my new device, I did and Platinum repairs asked if they could fit the glass protector. Well, they did so unsuccessfully, asked if I could come back again when they have a replacement... just as I wanted to leave they called me back to say they have found another one and wanted to fit it, I did not want to risk it and said I would do that my self.
Glad I did, even I'm not an expert in that field I felt that I could do it better, and I did on 1st try.
Platinum repairs sorry if this review update is not what you were hoping for but I'm not beating around the bush. you do have your strong points and vise versa. not fitting a screen protector properly for a company that makes money in that profesion is again something you need to look into.
Again thanks for my device and the effort you put into all of this. If I knew how to add a star rating of 1+ I would but that is the best I can do without someone holding a gun to my head
