Disappointed almost future customer
My first impression was “amazing” and definitely had the wow/blown away experience. On Saturday morning 21 December 2019 We were greeted by one one of the salesmen and he walked to their other showroom floor with us. He was pleasant and patient and not only started the car for me but moved 4 other cars to take us for a test drive. Needless to say the entire experience resulted in me wanting to purchase a car there and then. Filled in the paperwork and sent it to them on Sunday and received a response on Monday the 23rd from Charlotte . Keep in mind that Christmas was on the Wednesday 25th of December. On Friday the 27th I received a call informing me that my application has been declined and that another salesman has a pending deal on the same car. This occurred after I was informed that I’ve been pre approved on Tuesday. I was patiently waiting for a call informing me when I can sign the Papers for the car. The end result was a quick call on Friday explaining that I was unsuccessful after another dealer advised I qualified for a deal worth 50k more on a different vehicle. Armed with this knowledge I confidently informed the previous dealer that I have found the vehicle that spoke to me and that my experience at Platinum Wheels was out of this world. Needless to say the wow experience has been changed to one of regret and disappointment. In future, please keep buyers updated and informed for a week has gone buy and the outcome could’ve been a better one with effective communication and adding the comment of whoever qualifies first really put a damper on the buying experience. I am aware that popular cars will always have interested parties but playing open cards initially avoids the disappointment in the end. It is quite obvious that a lot of work has gone into the setup of the shop and a gap in client service spoils the entire experience. I believe clients choose to spend their hard earned money not only for the product but more importantly the experience. Thank you for the initial amazing experience and no thank you for the resultant underwhelming feeling of disappointment.
