UNAUTHORIZED DEBIT ORDERS UNWANTED CANCER POLICY

It is with great infuriation and anger that this review is being written to you.

My query relates to the phone call I received today from one of your consultants with the name of Jacques Janse Van Vuuren. We had a telephonic discussion today, he asked me about my free gift and made some small talk, thereafter he explained "everything" that relates to your cancer policy. He explained of money being paid directly into your account if you were to be diagnosed with cancer etc. I was decent enough to listen and I never agreed to accepting the policy. He then requested for my banking details, specifically my account number which I was very very hesitant to give and I told him that I did not want to provide him with my account number. His response was that there's absolutely nothing he can do with my account number and its just to verify that the given acc number is linked to my name. He assured me it's merely for verification purposes which I doubted. However still being hesitant and taking his word that it was merely for verification purposes I proceeded to provide him with the requested information and he assured me yet again that it is only for verification purposes. I reiterated to him that by providing my details I am NOT accepting any policy being made out for me. He said he'd email me documentation to read through and that I had a 30 day period to inform him about my decision if I were to be interested in the policy or not. Thereafter I received a Debicheck notification from my banking app and Jacques encouraged me to APPROVE it which I did not, I instead declined the notification as I am very much aware that a Debicheck is a New Debit Order that you have to confirm electronically at the start of a loan agreement or such. I feel that he tried to mislead me by claiming that the account number request was for verification purposes only. He was not open and honest. Even though I declined the debit order request it has somehow been approved, my banking app shows that it is active and this is unacceptable as I have declined. 4 activated debit orders in total are now linked to my account which was not accepted by me. I am very upset and angered and enraged with the way your consultants try to lure people on. One cannot be forced into opening up policies. We live in a free country where we have rights to choose what we want and what not. With all this being said I am requesting that whatever policy is made out in my name to be canceled IMMEDIATELY. I have also heard of several complaints of other people who were caught in the same way and where debit orders are sent through using different reference numbers. I truly hope this will not be the case with me. People have their own financial responsibilities and cannot be forced into spending money on unwanted coverage and unauthorized debit orders.

He mentioned that the call is being recorded, thus I hope no alterations will be made to the recording as I am in possession of the same recording too, hence no false claims can be given. Our full conversation with questions and answers.

I am physically going to visit my banking institution to notify them that I have not given permission for any debit order to be affiliated with my bank account and any debit order requests is ********** activity.

This is a very shallow tactic used to gain clients. I hope that my matter will be attended to as a matter of urgency!!!! As I am NOT INTERESTED IN ANY TYPE OF POLICY THAT IS AFFILIATED WITH PLATINUM LIFE.

You cannot want to take from people without their consent!!!

Very frustrated and upset.

I am hoping that my matter will be attended to with extreme urgency. I cannot afford to pay for cover which I am not interested in. Life as it is, is already expensive enough. Please delete all my data and information from your data base and cancel all policies that are listed with no confirmation from my side. I AM NOT INTERESTED IN ANYTHING FROM PLATINUM LIFE

Dear Faithlynn,

I have received your review and I am currently looking into this matter.

Kindly note that our policies are optional and you are never under any obligation to take a policy. As our policies are sold telephonically, all details are captured if you advise that you are interested and a active contract is sent out.

A mandate is sent out on conclusion of the sale and documents are sent out within 2-3 weeks. This is just to ensure that if you are happy with the policy, that the cover can start. After receiving the documents, you will have a legal 30 day review period and the policy is only set to start on the date as discussed.

I have requested the call made to you and will gladly send it through with feedback as soon as received. A cancellation has been logged with our sales team and nothing will be issued out in your name as requested.

You are welcome to let me know if there is anything I can assist with while we are waiting for the calls and I apologize for any inconvenience caused.

 Kind Regards
