*******!
*******! Deducting money from my account without my consent. I have never signed any documents to state that I want to be part of Platinum Life but as Mpho stated on my phone call today around 13:30 that when Platinum Life sends me an email and I do not respond then they take that as a confirmation for signup.
I've NEVER dealt with a more ********* business who does this and I have emailed their support as well.
I would not recommend that anyone even answer a phone call from Platinum Life as they will use whatever information they can to take your money *******ly. It's exactly what it sounds like! An absolute **** to get your money.

25 Nov 2020, 14:08Dear Ismail,
Thank you so much for taking my call.
As discussed, please note that I have requested the calls made to you regarding your policy with Platinum Life. In the calls, the consultant does need to explain the 30 day review period and how the policy works.
As soon as I have received these calls, I will gladly send it through with the relevant feedback. If there was any discrepancy regarding confirmation of the policy or the sales process, we will gladly arrange a refund for you.
Kindly note that a cancellation has been processed and no further premiums will be deducted while this matter is investigated.
Please let me know if there is anything else i can assist with in the meantime
Kind Regards

25 Nov 2020, 14:26Hi Simone
This is basically Day 1 of the debit order, I just so happened to have checked my bank account and I clearly do not want to be part of Platinum Life.
This refund should be immediate as I haven't consented to it and neither have I had any benefit of it.
Your process for signup should also be based on a confirmation of cover from the client. It can't be sent as a one way communication in an email and then no feedback is regarded as a form of acceptance. I've never heard of a company who does this.
I'm with Liberty Life insurance, and they required me to sign paperwork and get email confirmation before cover can commence. They even call me to make sure I received the paperwork or email and again reiterate to me that I need to write back in the form of an email and a signed confirmation of cover document in my own handwriting and dated so that they can commence with the necessary legal cover and without this I would not be covered.
This is not a small issue like a subscription to Netflix, it's a big undertaking and the client needs to be comfortable and well informed of what cover and what costs are associated with this as well as consent which is the most important part.
I trust that you will take this under advi*****t as a business process going forward.
Regards
Ismail
