Remove my details

I have had endless phone calls from your sales team. I was told I would be sent a cancer cover agreement to look over and my bank details were needed to verify that I was eligible for it, or something like that. Stupidly, I gave my account number after hesitating but being reassured that nothing would be done with my account. Life lesson for me, because I thought having cancer cover might be worth looking at. All of a sudden I then got a bank notification of a request to start a debit order with Platinum Life! Thankfully I was able to decline it.

In accordance with the POPIA Act, none of my acquaintances should be allowed to share my details with anyone. Platinum Life doesn't seem to know this?

I request that ALL my details be removed from your database.

Your business has a very bad reputation for pestering people and "free" gifts really do t make up for it! Platinum Life has many indicators to make it seem like a ****. Surely this is not the persona you are wanting to portray.

Dear Caitlin,

I have received your review and have looked into this matter from my side. I would like to provide some feedback

Kindly note that you were recently contacted regarding a promotional gift from Platinum Life. After providing your details, an SMS voucher was sent out and our sales team did a follow up to see if you would be interested in taking a policy with us.

On conclusion of the sale, a debicheck mandate is sent out. This is just a notification confirming that you have a debit order with Platinum Life and that you are aware of this. It is not a debit order submitted to your account. Documentation is still set to be sent out and you will enjoy a legal 30 day review period before the first deduction is set to start.

I have logged your cancellation request and sent it through to our sales team to ensure that no policy is issued out in your name. Your details have also been added to our Do Not Contact list to ensure that you are not called again in the future. The call made to you from our sales team has been requested to follow up on how the sale was explained and if consent was given before your details were captured.

Kindly note that we are a registered FSP and all our conduct is in line with FSCA and POPIA legislation

Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist with and our apologies if there was any misunderstanding regarding the policy you were contacted for

Kind Regards
