Pressure to upgrade regardless of employment status

I was called today by a sales consultant attempting to get me to upgrade my existing policy. Her name was Stacey. After advising her on 3 occasions that I am unemployed and will not be able to afford to do so, she still persisted. How can you logically expect someone to increase a premium whilst unemployed? Her words were "We all have struggles" and insisted on sending me the documents. My husband cancelled his policy for this exact reason and funny enough she, Stacey, hung up on me just as the consultant did to him after refusing to increase his. The correct response would have been "I hope you find employment soon and we will contact you at a later stage to hear if you're able to do so" or am I somehow mistaken? Should ones/consumers' affordability just be disregarded completely? Ill treatment of your existing clients is absolutely unacceptable. I hope this is referred to management. Policy on your call centre staff process is badly needed.

Dear Natalie,

Thank you for taking my call this morning, and please accept my sincere apologies for your experience yesterday.

Our upgrades are always optional, and you should never feel pressured to accept them or experience discourteous behavior if you choose not to. This does not align with our standards, and I am actively looking into the matter. I have requested a review of the call, which will be escalated to our sales team to ensure it is addressed appropriately.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist with

Kind Regards
