Please remove my details and cancel any freebies.

A week ago I received an sms saying someone nominated me for a promotional gift, after 3 missed calls I received a phone call today and was told a colleague from many years ago nominated me to receive a gift, and I would need to confirm some details, Name, Address, then ID for tracking, then that was all. But also I'm asked tell the agent what bank I was with and what type of account (not my bank account number), foolishly I answered albeit reluctantly. At least twice I asked if it was obligation free, then the agent asked if they could include 6 months free female cancer cover, I said yes because how could it hurt, again I queried that there was no obligation, and was reassured that there wasn't. The agent was very nice and I didn't want to be rude. After the call I was feeling unsettled, why the need to have personal & banking details, so I googled and came across a multitude of reviews indicating that people had been debited without their consent and phoned numerous times.

In the interest of safety I would like my details removed from the Platinum Life data base. I do not want to receive their free 6 month female cancer cover or the free gift. I have in no way consented to Platinum Life debiting my bank account. I have not been made aware of any of the "free cover" specifics or pricing. I do not want any policy.

From what I have read in other reviews and on other sites it seems as though Platinum Life use gifts and freebies to sign up clients. And while I have not been ****med by them, I am posting this review not only to make Platinum Life aware that I do not want any paid policies, policy documents or unwanted debit orders, gifts or freebies, but also for the awareness of others. It's easy to be foolish when there's a kind voice and fami****ity on the end of the phone.

Platinum Life please remove all my contact details and personal information from your data base & add my number to the do not call list. Please cancel gift and free 6 month policy.
