Platinum signs up a contract by twisting your words

I had a call from platinum after they sent me a gift, he asked if i want to "upgrade" the free 6 month cancer cover they gave me, i said no thanks i can't afford it now. He tried having small talk and i said i am actually in a meeting by which he made a comment " oh i did not know you can answer phones in a meeting" (who is he to make a cheeky comment, and by the way its my job to answer the phone whether in a meeting or not) anyway, i let it slide and he said can he atleast send me the review documents and then decide if i want it or not, i was hesitant but said it is fine because maybe in the new year i can see to afford it or not, he then asked my bank details i said wait no no i am not agreeing to anything, he said it is just for security checks to see that i am legit and not in debt. silly me thought he is serious, he then asked when the debit order must go down, again i jumped my horse and said no no i am NOT agreeing to this policy, he kept twisting his words, in the end he finally asked me to say yes i want the policy i said no i dont he said ma'm i need confirmation, i said you can send the layout of a policy and thats it i dont want a policy now, he kept asking till he finally said ok then and he ramble down a load of stuff so fast no person alive would understand it and said welcome to platinum life, in my reply i did not agree to anything goodbye. i have been trying to reach the call centre the agents are either so rude or there is no answer. I DO NOT WANT A CANCER POLICY!
