Platinum Life Marketing ****

I received an sms saying I was nominated for a promotional gift, later on I received a phone call and was asked about my details, the agent said that I would receive my gift in 6 - 8 weeks. I did not really wanted to be rude because the lady who spoke to me was nice, when she asked my ID number, what bank I am with and if my account is current or savings I got a bit suspicious, because what does that have to do with a promotional "gift"? They now have my confidential details. Based on most of the reviews on hello peter it seems that they often commit '*****' which concerns me greatly. In researching Platinum Life, it seems that quite a few people are getting caught by Platinum Life in that they send out ACTIVE policy documents with a 30-day review period. I have not provided Platinum Life with my bank account number (other than the name of my bank & what type of account) to allow them to process any debit orders / deductions from my account. If any payments are taken from my bank account, I will take this matter further. I already have life insurance and I have not signed for anything. Please cancel my " life insurance and please note that I will take the matter further if moneys are deducted from my account.

I will also personally deliver all my "free gifts" to your Sandton branch as this is just one big ****.

Dear Clive,

I have received your complaint and would like to provide some feedback regarding this matter. I have not been able to get a hold of you telephonically to discuss this,

Please note that our promotional gifts are obligation and cost free and simply serve as a way to provide more information on our company and products. If you receive a gift, it does not mean that you have taken out a policy with Platinum Life.

After you have received your gift, you might be contacted by our sales department and offered a policy. If you agree and provide all required details, only then will a policy be issued out to you.
We are a registered FSP and we operate according to the guidelines set out by the FSCA.

I have requested for your details to be removed from the system to ensure that nothing is sent out to you.

You are more than welcome to contact me on ***) if there is anything I can assist with

Have a nice day

Kind Regards
