Platinum gifts, just another way to get personal and confidential information - no gift sent

Platinum life has called me for the second time if not third asking me for my personal information with the claim that they will be sending a gift to me, but to this day I have not received a gift or a link. I have received an sms in January and today as well that they will be calling... I now wonder if my information is in the good hands. I honestly wish they didn't deliver promise people gifts if they knew they were not going to deliver :-(
