Old woman given policy that costs half her monthly pension
<p>My mother was called and offered a policy and she did not even understand what she was been offered and why they needed her details, she is an elderly woman and easily confused, she was told that the policy will only cost her R200, but a few months later R428 is being debited from her account, which is almost half her pension. She does even understand what she is covered for and why.</p>

I can confirm that your mother’s policy is currently frozen and that no further premiums will be deducted.
Your mother was referred to us and we subsequently offered her a cancer policy with Platinum Life. The sales consultant was not aware of your mother’s mental state when she agreed to the policy and premiums increased due to upgrades taken on the policy.
We have added Mrs. Mile’s name to our ‘do not contact list’ and I apologise for any inconvenience caused.
