Not Impressed and Forceful Sales
So I received a free gift from Platinum Life and now they call me to sell me a policy Nicole Pretorius is the person I spoke to, I advised her I cannot take up a policy unless I review the document and obviously look at my finances as my husband lost his job to covid, requested my bank details which I advised I will not provide as that for me is like committing myself and I want to review the policy first to which I was told without my banking details the policy cannot be generated and I advised well then I cannot proceed - what do you not understand with this response. Do you know how difficult it is to stop a debit order especially from an insurance company oh hell no I am not interested. I had to disconnect the call because this lady just did not understand the above. So with this I am telling you- PLEASE DO NOT EVER CALL/EMAIL/SMS ME AGAIN and ensure my personal details are removed from your system in terms of POPIA I have a right to not disclose any information and where I have request that it be removed.
I have received your complaint and would like to provide some feedback regarding this matter.
Due to the high risk nature of our products and given the fact that underwriting is only done at claims stage, when you are contacted regarding a policy with us, all details need to be captured before policy documentation can be sent out. An active contract is sent via email or courier and you will have 30 days from receipt of documentation to go through the contract before any deduction is set to occur.
I do apologize if the consultant did not explain this process or advise why information is captured prior to the policy being sent out.
I have requested for your information to be added to our do not contact list and I have also requested the call from our sales department to follow up on the manner in which the consultant handled it.
Please let me know if there is anything I can assist with further
Kind Regards
