No response to policy cancellation!
During the call I explained to the consultant that taking out a policy is not within my budget at the moment, but she continued with the process.
During the call, a message appeared three times that required me to either accept or decline. Each time I attempted to decline, my phone froze, preventing me from properly responding.
Despite this, when I checked my banking app afterwards, I noticed that there were three scheduled payments loaded for the policy, which I did not authorise.
I sent an email yesterday to address this matter and received an automated response. I followed up again today, but only received an automated reply stating that there will be delays due to the public holiday.
The delay in responding is also a serious concern, as it may affect the cooling-off period. I do not accept any situation where delays on your side result in me being told that I am no longer able to cancel the policy.
This has been a very frustrating experience, especially since I made it clear from the beginning that it is not in my budget and was unable to properly decline due to technical issues.
I’ve received your review, and I’m truly sorry to hear about your experience.
Please note that our policies are always optional, and you should never feel pressured into taking out cover that you are not comfortable with. I can also confirm that your policy was only set to commence in June 2026, and your review period begins once you have received your policy documentation.
While public holidays can impact our turnaround times, I can confirm that your cancellation request has been received and logged by our email team, and no premiums will be deducted.
A consultant will be in touch to confirm this with you, please keep an eye out for their call.
Kind Regards
