My mother and i have had platinum policies for many years and when she was diagnosed with kidney cancer last year we put in a claim on her policy because she would need medication that is very expensive and her medical aid would not cover it. So we had no way of covering those costs of her tablets but with the help of her platinum policy we were able to afford it until we could upgrade her medical aid so it would cover the medication. We were so grateful when it paid out and my mother could start her treatment as soon as possible. Platinum life consultants also also always called wanting to know how she is doing and she has now also received a care package which was so thoughtful of them and uplifting my mothers spirit when things were not so good and also a wonderful pick 'n pay voucher that also will help when there is so many other medical bills to pay.
