It's funny how life works. I received a sales call out of the blue from Platinum Life sometime in 2015/6, and at the time for the dread disease cover, it was around R80/month, which was affordable. With no family history of cancer and out off the blue, shortly after, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Platinum Life paid out around R120 000, which helped immensely with my chemo and radiation treatment. Talk about a life saver! It's been 8 years since my diagnosis.
