Is the Platinum Life Promotional "Gift" a ****?

Today I received an sms saying I was nominated for a promotional gift, later on I received a phone call and was asked about my details, the agent said that I would receive my gift in 4 weeks.

I did not really wanted to be rude because the lady who spoke to me was nice, when she asked my ID number, what bank I am with and if my account is current or savings I got a bit suspicious, because what does that have to do with a promotional "gift"? They now have my confidential details and my work address.

They say someone I know nominated me but when I asked that person, they said they did not. So it has to be a **** if they are lying??

I have not provided Platinum Life with my bank account number (other than the name of my bank & what type of account) to allow them to process any debit orders / deductions from my account. If any payments are taken from my bank account, I will take this matter further.

I do not wish to receive the “free, promotional” gift. Please confirm in writing that I will not receive anything further from Platinum Life, either in the way of a gift, nor of a free 6-month Cancer voucher.
