INSURANCE CLAIMS - THE PLATINUM WAY

I was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and about half way through my treatment, remembered that I had taken out an insurance policy with Platinum Life some ten or so years ago. I found a claim form on their website, had it completed by my house doctor and oncologist and submitted it to Platinum Life. Having heard of friends who submitted insurance claims with other insurers and the usual "fighting" that the customer had to endure before receiving a pay-out, I was extremely surprised when I received a message from Platinum Life advising that they were processing my claim. A week later a further message was received advising that the claim was now with the last manager for processing. After a further couple of days, I was informed that the payment would be made into my account the next day.

Not only did I receive the full amount, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a gift box containing pyjamas, slippers, gift voucher, coffee mug, scarf, etc. The friendly Platinum Life representative, Leandi Schoonees, made contact with me on a regular basis to find out how I was doing and to discuss the progress of my treatment.

Big was my surprise when Leandi called my last week to advise that I would be receiving a gift card from Pick n Pay for an amount of R4 500!

If anything, life has taught me that you get nothing for nothing, however my experience with this excellent company has proven me wrong. I can and I do, recommend Platinum Life to every person. Please never say that cancer cannot happen to you, believe me, it can and having a policy from Platinum Life to assist with the expensive treatment that you might have to receive, coupled to a kind voice checking on your progress and spoiling you, goes a long way in making the cancer burden lighter!
