Harassment

A friend gave my details to Platinum Life and they contacted me. They offered me a gift as I was recommended by a friend. The gift came and they contacted me to see if I got it and they were very friendly.

Couple of months later they contacted me and tried to talk me into taking out an insurance policy. I said they could send it to me and I'll look it over. They gave me the usual story and said that I'll only need to start paying at a later date. The consultant then asks for my bank details. This is when I got uncomfortable and asked why. They say just need it but won't deduct anything until I agree to the policy. I said I don't have it on me and he then says he can put me through to the bank I am with and will call me back in 5 minutes.

As soon as I got transferred, I put the phone down. I am not going to give my banking details to a stranger. Now I'm getting harassed and they keep calling a few times a day on my cellphone and landline.

I don't want a policy any longer and would like my details completely removed from any database you guys have.

Dear Minesh,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I have followed up with the relevant department and because you did show interest in the policy the sales consultant tried to get hold of you.

I have however removed all your details and you will not be contacted again.

Please contact me directly on *** for any further assistance.

Kind regards,
