Gift call

I received a phone call from someone at platinum life asking if I know a specific person as they nominated me. Thinking it was a prank call or troll, I denied knowing the person. Thereafter the call agent just ended the phone call without explaining to me why they want to know if I know this person.

I phoned my friend, and it turns out she did in fact nominate me. Now I regret saying that I didn't know her. Is there anyway for the call agents to rather take a different approach when contacting someone regarding the nomination? Maybe they should send a text and forewarn you or ask your friend to inform you so you actually expect the phone call.

Kind Regards,

Nadia

Dear Nadia,

As discussed telephonically, Platinum Life works on a strict referral basis and all policy holders are referred to us by friends and family.

I apologise if the consultant did not act politely and I will take it up with the relevant Department.

You will be pleased to know that we now send out an sms before contacting people referred to us. I have also arranged for someone from our Referral Department to give you another call.

Please feel free to contact me directly on *** should you have any other questions.

Kind regards,

Tanja Yildirim
