free gift

Good day....... my name is tryphina two weeks back i received a call from one of platinum life call center saying they found my cell number from a friend of my.......then they want to send me a free gift. the surprise part they requested my id number i did give out but after dropping the call i relialized i made a mistake.... so im write this to check if this is really or **** and if its true where is my gift?

 Dear Nhlamulo,  I have tried to contact you regarding this matter, but have not been able to reach you.  Kindly note that our promotional gifts are obligation free and is a way for us to provide more information about our company and products.  Your ID number is requested purely to be used as a reference (as it is a unique number, this can be used to query the status of your gift etc.)   Our gifts are delivered within 6-8 weeks from when you were phoned, but you will receive an sms closer to the time providing more information.
