We, Chris and Riana van Wyk, are Platinum Life policyholders, and we want to share our heartfelt experience. Initially, like many others, we had doubts about Platinum Life. But we took a leap of faith, even though our income was modest, and we’re so thankful we did. In March 2024, our world changed when my PSA count came back high, and my doctor said, “This might be prostate cancer.” The fear and uncer*****y were overwhelming, but Platinum Life’s support became a true lifeline. Knowing we were covered helped us focus on my health, not the financial burden. The prostate was removed, and it was indeed prostate cancer. What truly touched us was the personal care from Jani Jooste. Her check-in emails and the thoughtful gift box she sent, filled with hospital essentials and a book explaining prostate cancer, were a blessing beyond words. It was clear it was all done with love and care, and we never expected such kindness. We received the insured amount without any troubles, upon completion of all the relevant documentation. Never has a claim been handled with such care and in a short period. Our experience has shown us how quickly life can change. Not even 6 months after the prostate cancer, (August 2024), it was discovered that I now have a tumour in my brain (Feb 2025). The tumour was removed on the 21st of February 2025, and the histology report are still pending. We thank God for His mercy and the support we’ve received. Without our faith, we would have been lost. We keep on going and believe everything in our lives happens for a reason, it is not what we are going through but what our attitude is when life gets tough. We are deeply grateful to Platinum Life for being there for us, and we know we are not just a policyholder—we are a priority. If you ever doubt to take out a policy with Platinum Life, we want to plea with you, do the right thing, it might be your only financial cer*****y when life unexpectedly gives you a curveball.
