De*****eck Mandates without consent
I used to be on Platinum Life for a long time, I lost my work and battled to find employment. I am not earning enough to cover all my basic needs. I cancelled the policy when I lost my work. Then a few months ago I received a telesales call and I advised them that I can't afford anything at the moment. My employer send me fuel money and all my money was debited off my account. Two debit orders right after each other and then their sister company IPS all of a sudden also debited my account. The bank advised that a reference number was changed on the previous debicheck mandate. I have no means to fill my car for work due to this. No refund is done or can be done by myself, and us as customers cannot stop this debits through our banks. Please be very careful when speaking to any telesales consultants if you previously had a policy with them, or was part of their sister company IPS.
Thank you so much for taking my call and allowing me the opportunity to assist you.
As discussed during our call, your policy is cancelled and no further debit orders will be processed.
We’ve also arranged for an urgent call back from IPS regarding your subscription with them, so you should hear from them shortly.
If there's anything else you need, please don’t hesitate to reach out — we're always here to help.
