DEBITS WITHOUT CONSENT!
I am disappointed let alone angry. Platinum life has been debiting my account and I did not confirm any mandate. Yesterday ( 02/10/2023) a consultant (Roxy)contacted me to offer me some sort of relief payment where my premiums will be lessoned but that's not what I want. She also confirmed that on her side the debit order mandate was not confirmed but yet you people took my money. She sold me some story of when you don't accept the mandate your bank automatically takes it as you probably had issues accepting so allows the debit order. I know this not true neither is it right. I was told to contact Standard Bank which I did call ( today and spoke to Laeticia ) and was told that Platinum needs to sort out the issue however she will escalate my query. I don't want an instalment reduction I want the money that was deducted without my consent.
Thank you so much for taking my call regarding this matter. Please note that I am currently investigating this on my side.
Kindly note, the sales call has been requested. The call, as well as feedback on the agreement made during the sale, will be made available to you as soon as possible.
On conclusion of a sale, a DebiCheck mandate is sent. This mandate is a secure payment system which allows you as the account holder to approve your debit order details. Keep in mind, if a mandate request does not receive a response, we may still request premiums on your account, as per the agreement made during the sales call. I can also confirm that documentation was emailed to you in July. This ensured that you enjoy the full 31-day review period before the policy commenced.
Kindly note that your policy has been cancelled and all further premiums have been stopped with immediate effect.
