Bul**** into taking out a cancer policy

In June 2024 I was contacted by a call centre agent and bul**** into taking out a cancer policy. I kept informing them that I do not work, am divorsed and do not have an income except the R350.00 covid relief grant. she said it does not matter and continued to put through the policy. I went to the bank to stop the debit order at the end of September as I cannot afford the policy. The debit order did not go off the !st as I had cancelled it but wentoff this morning at 12:30. This is my only form of income and now do not have any money until the next grant gets paidinto my account. I do not have money for airtime to call the call centre and had to ask for help to report this. The call agent should not have put it throughknowing that I do not have an income and need money to live.

Dear Cherie,

I have received your review and I have tried to contact Mrs Prins to assist with this matter. I have not been able to reach her but please advise her to keep an eye out for our call

I have requested the call made to her in June regarding the policy, to see what was discussed when the cover was issued out to her. As no cancellation request was received on our side, the system did request the debit order as normal and a resubmission when this was not received.

A cancellation has been logged and a consultant will be in touch with Mrs Prins for a final confirmation. We will also provide feedback on the sales call and the conduct of the consultant

Please let me know if there is anything else we can assist with and my apologies for any inconvenience caused

Kind Regards
