Worst Medical Aid I've ever belonged to

Firstly, their call centre is the worst I've ever had the punishment of dealing with. Their service is the slowest I've ever endured, and their lines are extremely unstable. I was disconnected several times to sort out one issue. Not even to mention the hour I was in "Position 1 in the queue" the day I required authorization for the operation that created this issue in the first place, after the second day of trying to get hold of them. As much as I despise talking to people who sound like sleeping medication for a part of their office requirements, I can understand their dislike in their working environments if that is the reason for their poor communication s****s.

My second reason. You get all these benefits for doctors that will cost you more in travelling than a doctor in your direct vicinity. Some of those doctors even have questionable reviews. But hey, lets put our lives in their hands. My ultimate favourite is that I was only covered for anaesthetics to a value of R500 for my last operation. Please indicate at least one good reputable doctor who will perform that task for only R500? I still can't see myself handing my life over in their hands, but at least I will know they exist.

Overall, I would never recommend them. Not even to my biggest enemy.
