Poor and unprofesional service from Platinum Health
Platinum Health Medical Aid
4th May 2018 – I emailed a claim for 6 months chronic medication that I had purchased to Platinum Health, including a copy of the prescription and proof of payment. 3rd July 2018 – I received a package from Skynet Couriers sent from Platinum Health Pharmacy with 6 months chronic medication, of which one medicine was correct and one incorrect. One the package Platinum Health Pharmacy script was dated 9th May 2018, and the Skynet waybill was date 14th May 2018. The medication had been delivered to a previous address in Bloemfontein where I resided 9 years ago. I have been living in Polokwane for 9 years and have changed address once in the 9 years. All my info was updated with Platinum Health in September/October 2017 when I was retrenched and put on early retirement. Pam Jubileus from Platinum Health responding email saying they would arrange for a pick-up with the courier to collect the parcel medication, and she had re-forwarded my claim to Santie ******tze. 8th August 2018 - I forwarded my previous email to Pam Jubileus and again received confirmation that the parcel medication would be collected. I also followed up with Santie ******tze for payment of my claim. Santie responded that they need a complete claim form reflecting nappi codes. 9th August 2018 – I emailed Santie requesting where I would be able to source the data and she responded that the pharmacy that I had purchased the medication would supply it and she also forwarded an example of what they needed. 13th August 2018 – emailed the attached info to Santie, and she responded that she would forward it to the Claims Department. I later received an email from Santie stating that the refund would be only for one month and for only one of the medications, R483.51 of the ±R3000 claimed. I forwarded the emails to Dan le Roux, the CEO of Platinum Health, requesting that he assist. 20th August 2018 – I re-forwarded my previous email again to Dan le Roux as I had not received any response from Platinum Health. I mentioned in this email that my next email would be sent to Hello Peter. 21st August 2018 – Santie email me asking if there was a reason why I had purchased 6 months medication. I answered that I had purchased 6 months medication so that I did not have to claim monthly for 6 months. I elaborated that I had always received 6 months medication from Platinum Health pharmacy at Atok where I had worked at Bokoni Platinum Mines. I was un aware that Platinum Health would dispense medication from their Rustenburg Pharmacy. I concluded that it was lucky that I had bought 6 months medication because Platinum Health only managed to deliver the medication 2 months later, and one of the medications is an anti-depressant. 22nd August 2018 – Santi email me saying she would request special authorisation for the whole 6 months prescription to be reimbursed. 17th September 2018 I have received no further info from Platinum Health. The incorrect medication has still not been collected. I have still not been reimbursed.
