On 13 June 2025, I paid R2,450 for tiles at Platinum Hardware Mount Ayliff
On 13 June 2025, I paid R2,450 for tiles at Platinum Hardware Mount Ayliff. My aunt made the purchase, but unfortunately burned the receipt on the same day. When she returned the following day to explain and collect the items, she was told nothing could be released without the slip. I contacted a man named Adjim, who claimed to be in charge, and later someone claiming to be the owner. They insisted they needed to confirm whether the tiles were collected, despite the fact that collection is impossible without a receipt. We later learned that similar issues have allegedly happened to other customers. We were denied the option to provide an affidavit and ID. Because I live in Gauteng, my aunt handled the matter and was forced to open a Small Claims Court case. The tiles were never delivered, and we were even asked to buy them again at a “good price.” This experience was stressful, *********, and deeply disappointing. I strongly caution others when dealing with Platinum Hardware Mount Ayliff.
