Unauthorized debit order by Platinum Assist

Received a message from them saying that the debit order will gi off on the 25th of July and to respond fir help, and I responded back that I never took out the policy. I find lots of the same reviews on Hellopeter for this company and 22 Marketing . What bugs (and worries me) is the fact that they can get hold if my bank details without me giving it to the. How is this possible in this RICA/FICCA age where all info is suppose to be confidential????
