They refused to reimburse me

I hired a 50 Ton Crane, they turned up 2 hours late, with an unsuitable trailer and without adequate chains to secure the machine. In short Plant Index failed miserably to offer the service we had agreed on. This cost me labour for my staff and but when I asked for my costs to be reimbursed they refused and said that they would only offer me a credit on account. I explained that this was unreasonable as we do not move plant generally and would obviously not use them again if we were to, so I just asked that my costs were covered. They flat refused.
