STAY AWAY!!!!

I terminated my rental agreement last year and agreed on a settlement amount and pay off agreement. According to the agreement, my last installment would be the end of this month (January 2024), which co-incided with their promotion of R500 cash back on the 10/01 if you settled 50% of your balance in December, which I did. When I followed up, I got no answers to my emails and whatsapp messages. When I called them yesterday to enquire about my cash back, I was asked "did you accept the offer?". There was no indication that I had to accept anything.

Then today I get an email to say I do not qualify as my settlement balance is XYZ....which suddenly went up from the agreed amount. So instead of owing ABC, my balance has become inflated. Like ***????
