Rented car complaint
I am writing to complain about the dealership WEDU cars in Springs Gauteng and Planet 42, I have only had the vehicle for 2 months since the date of purchase the 14th of January 2023 and in the course of the two months I have only driven the vehicle for two weeks on and off from the moment I took it from the dealership it had mechanical problems so therefore I will not be contributing any amount for the vehicle repairs as I am still within the 6 months period after the purchase of the vehicle. I am still also paying the installment amount every month for the vehicle plus insurance since the purchase of the vehicle to planet 42.
At the moment at my own expense I am using taxis and other public transportation for two months to go to and from work, to transport my kids to school and other errands that need a vehicle which has had a huge financial strain and impact for me since the mechanical breakdown of the vehicle on the 05th of March 2023. There was also a time after two weeks of the vehicle purchase the dealership took the vehicle for another mechanical problem on the vehicle on the 20th of February and was only returned to me after two weeks for them to fix I received no invoice or paper work from them to show what repairs were done on the vehicle by their mechanic even after I requested them, I also did not meet the mechanic who was supposedly working on the vehicle for those two weeks and immediately after I took the vehicle on the 02nd of March it had another mechanical breakdown as a result which lead me to take the vehicle to the workshop myself at (Motor Car German pro) on the 06th of March 2023 which is less than 5km from my place and is RMI approved as instructed by them.
The WEDU cars dealership Manager JD and Courtney the sales lady has never taken any accountability for the repair, replacement or refund of this vehicle instead they have gaslighted the whole situation and are very rude whenever I contact them offering no help in this whole process while the vehicle is at the workshop. Planet 42 has also not been helpful in stead once the quotation came through from the workshop they had asked me how much I can contribute towards the repairs seeing as the insurance has only approved R12000 out of the R44000 that was issued for the quotation, which means they expect me to contribute R32 000 of which I will not pay because I don't have that amount and believe I am not liable especially because it is clear that the vehicle had these mechanical issues from before I took it from the dealership
I now ask that you help me with this matter, I hope to hear from you soon.
