Poor service delivery and debits not reversed
Hello Peter. My name is Thembinkosi Shezi I hereby wishbto share my bad experience with Planet42.
On the beginning of this year in January 2022 I was in need of a vehicle and due to to my status I was unable to get a vehicle on account and I was referred by a friend to Planet42.
There was no problems in times of applications and receipt of the vehicle which I rented to own from January 2022 until end of October 2022.
Due to financial constraints I then wrote an email to Planet42 advising them of my financial situation and made them aware that I could no longer afford to continue with rental payments hence I wanted their advise on how to cancel my contract with them.
The Supplier responded advising me to ensure the car needs to be dropped off within 7 days before the due date of the next deduction being the 26th October 2022.
As advised the vehicle was returned on the 19th October 2022 and the Supplier's business partner Gobid confirmed receipt of the vehicle.
Proof of trailing email communication has been saved and can be made available whereby the Supplier (Planet42) has been contacted several times with no response from them reason being that even though the vehicle has been returned to them but they still debited my account leaving me in arrears on other accounts.
This has been very painful since I returned their vehicle as advised and in my budget I had not budgeted for 5994 to be lost to a company who claimed they are helping us own our own vehicles again.
Follow up emails, telephone calls and WhatApp messages sent to the groups were not responded to.
I would really raise awareness on other people who might fall for the services of Planet42 since they might desperately need a car but fall I'm the wrong hands thatbwill use them for their gain
It's very difficult to trust Planet42 since theu are not keeping up to their promises. As a result I had to cancel my account with my current bank which I've had for many years since Planet42 debit my account eventhough there is nothing owed to them.

Please note that if you wish to proceed with the termination of your rental, the cancellation is subject to a penalty of 1 months rental payment, after you have successfully paid your first six months rentals . Cancellation before you have successfully paid your first 6 rentals, is subject to a penalty of up to 7 months rental as per the rental agreement you signed. The cancellation penalty depends on the current arrears and the condition of your vehicle. This is all on your rental agreement that you have signed.
