I have tried several other platforms to get assistance but seems that Planet 42 responds to this website quickly. So, to start off, my experience with them was impressive. Good service and helpful. I got my car on 23/2/24. There were some problems with it, so they requested that the car go back for changing a belt. Once we drove with the car and had it in our possession for a few days, we realized some other problems as well. It was reported and we were advised to return the car to be fixed. The car was returned on 4/3/2024. After several calls to enquire about how long the repairs will be, I was told that the cars engine had to be dropped to replace the fanbelt????? Seriously? Also, that the ABS pump that was ordered was the received, but is incorrect, so it had to be returned and re-ordered. Eight (8) day later I was called, the car is ready now. I collected it on 12/3/24. On the 14th the car started jerking and cut out at the most awful times, like turning or going over a circle. It does not idle, and the fan belt looks new, but is still noisy. Also, the ABS pump was not replaced, the same old one is there and still leaking oil. This past weekend we also experienced something new. When starting the car, no lights come on and obviously it doesn't start. My husband checked and it seems that there is some kind of wiring problem in the fuse box in the engine. Only once you move a wire going to the fuse box, does the car start, also not every time, we've been stranded like this twice, once for 25 minutes. The second time this happened, we were ****** of our cellphones and my husbands wallet. This car has caused only problems for me in the month I had it... and I didn't even have full use of it for the whole month, and the time I did have it, the quality of usage was up to s...t. Yet today I will have to pay the full rental of this car. I cannot accept this. I've sent a letter to info@planet42 on 18 March and till today had no response. I want to cancel this contract. I have had only bad experience with this car and letting it go back to the dealership and sitting without a car, but paying RENTAL for it, is totally unfair. Hopefully, I will now get a response from them. They were full of empty promises. Supposed to help, but only made things worse.
