In May 2023 I thought i was buying a vehicle, and paying rental prices and even paid R35000 DEPOSIT. My installment is R6900 per month. To date i have paid R82000 in total. When i asked for a balance statement because i want to settle my purchase, i was told the outstanding balance is R96000. i QUOTE AN EMAIL FROM PLANET42 ' Kindly note that you are renting a vehicle, and the rental amount does not reduce the balance of the vehicle. Instead, you are paying for what you are using. Unquote" This is no way a buy-out or Rent to Buy. How can one pay a rental for a 2006 model vehicle at R6900 and the balance doesn't decrease. The vehicles value decreased in the last year, yet I'm still expected to pay the last years amount and the KILOMETRE'S increased. Are there any suggestions to help me?
