Planet 42. Is it a ****?
They advertise a car and when you click on the image to see more detail like pictures they quote a purchase amount and montly repayment amount. It allows you to add a deposit or trade-in and period and gives you the final monthly payment. It also says that the monthly payment includes insurance. I app**** for a car with a monthly repayment of R1804.00 per month and I was contacted by a consultant that said the installment will be R5414 (i cant remember exactly) over 60 months and if you want to buy it at the end of the term you can have it for R5000. If added together this comes to about R330 000 for a car originally costing R89 odd thousand. Nowhere on the page after you click on the image does it say that this payment plan of R1804 is for customers getting financed by a bank. This is gross over promis and under deliver and misleading advertising. The whole wensite is all avout rent to own and not about buying a car with bank finance. I feel they should rent at the price they advertised. The consultant's answer to me was "that's the way it works" I made a video of how I navigated the website and sent it to them but no result. I asked for a manager to contact me, but no-one did. I also keep getting Whats app messages to tell me to come and pick a car This is unfair business practice. They advertised they want to help those with bad credit eg job loss because of Covid, to get a car. They step on you when you are allready down because of circumstances.
