Planet 42 contract termination nightmare

Planet 42 started off as such a wonderful business and I was so impressed by the professional manner they assisted me to rent to buy a vehicle. So in my contract I signed it states that if I return the vehicle before the first 6 months then I will have to pay a cancellation fee of R6900 .I was fine with that. So I kept the vehicle for almost three years and I was told I can cancel the contract at anytime no hidden cost So now I have returned the vehicle in the same condition I got it every year service was done on time. I managed to get hold of planet 42 finally to inform them I can no longer afford the instalments R6900 and that I would like to cancel the contract so they said it's fine we arranged for safe drop off they confirmed vehicle was recieved and I have proof.so now I asked them to cancel my debit orders because I got retrenched and I'm not working no more.planet 42 is the worst company to communicate with I've emailed them many times for the termination letter. They eventually emailed me back stating I must pay 6900 into a separate Absa account to terminate the contract that's beside the monthly installments going off every month bear in mind I do not have the vehicle in my possession. They then informed me to pay this money by August 31st or I will be liable for a fee of R 48 700 to cancel my contract. This was never explained to me and no where in my contract does this state. I'm only renting the vehicle with a option to own if I complete the full term of 60 months. So here is the part I'm having a real problem with I am willing to pay the settlement amount into Absa account but how can I do that if they debit my account 6900 every month until I pay that settlement amount of 6900 I don't work anymore I try to do the right thing try to get hold of them via email but they deliberately ignore your emails so that they can take your money for something I don't have. I'm even thinking of getting my lawyer involved in this matter all I want is to have this contract terminated peacefully I even recommended them to friends and family nit knowing this is how they treat clients my email address is *** if they can contact me to have this matter settled. The last email I recieved was threats from them to get third parties to take my money.What they are doing is not right if they can just communicate via email so I can have a paper trail which I'm entitled to.i do have proof of my contract
