Planet 42 and Bonus Cars sell unroad-worthy cars to buyers. Stay away from them.

It is a shame what Planet42 is doing indiviuals who cant buy cars directly with the bank because of issues with their credit records, however they are the very same Entity that will destroy your name at the Credit Bureau. This is the second time Im writing this review about Planet42 and Bonus Cars in Pretoria West.

I did my application with Planet42 was approved in September 2022. After waiting for a good month I received my vehicle from Bonus Cars end of October 2022. The car started having issues the following day, I mean exactly the day after receiving it. The car was over heating and the engined turned off while driving. I contacted the dearlership and it was picked up the following day for repairs.

Planet42 started demanding I pay the vehicle even when it was not in my possession, even after having the car for a couple of hours. The vehicle was returned back from repairs in November 2022. The vehicle was worse than when it arrived the 1st time. It appeared the sunroof was removed and put back, not sure why, therefore the car was leaking when it was raining, the vehicle was just mechanically having issues and was not safe to be driven.

I was forced to try fix and replace certain things in the vehicle however is didnt help. Planet42 was informed however their intrest was in me continuing to make my installments and that I take the vehicle to a repair centre and they will meet me halfway with paying for the repairs, imagine.

The contrat was recently terminated and I'm now requested to settle the balance. Like how do they expect one to pay for a vehicle that has not been in good condition from day one? what kind of rental company is this?

This matter is currently being reported to MIOSA and other relevant organisations.

I would advise anyone to stay away from getting into any aggreement with this company.
