Cancellation of 6 month rental

I contacted planet42 in Jan for a rental car, I was approved for a vehicle went to the show room to choose a car, when I made my decision, the same time I was told that the car had already been booked for another client, I would have to choose something else. Of which they didn't have what I wanted on the floor. I later received a call from the sales person(about a week after) saying they had a Ford figo available, I went to see the car, signed the contract for( I was told that it's a rental for 6 months and then I had the option of continuing and that it would then be rent to own) I drove the car to rustenburg on the Monday morning for work. This car blew a gasket,it over heated and was leaking water. I told the Sales Consultant who said to contact Roadside Assistance. I had to constantly stop by the garage and check the water levels. I drove back to Pretoria on the same Friday, on my way the car switched off while I was driving I had just passed brits heading to Pretoria. Mind you this is in the middle of nowhere, I'm a female at night alone and no Assistance. I had been stuck by the side of the road from 7pm to 11pm or 12pm, when the Roadside Assistance came, they found me with the metro police who were trying to assist me, they had to accompany me home because the car was in a bad state. That car was taken into be fixed, but again had the same problem. I later received a i10, which had an engine problem, again I was told by the staff that the car was fine and in good condition. I asked the consultation again when can rhe car be serviced, I was told that after I drove it for a 100000ks which was ridiculous because thre car was giving me problems after been driven for a week again. When I took it in to menlyn for a check, they told me they had to stip he engine to diagnose it and the insurance had to confirm. This meant again I'm without a car, I later found out that the same car was taken in for the same issue at Triple A motors to be fixed. Planet42 refused to agree, they had to investigate why the car had the same problem but was supposed to be fixed. I again waited for them to decide. I later got told that I can come in to get another car but they had to vet me again, and my initial approved amount wouldn't apply here because my credit score went down, all because of their constant credit checks. I was told that they will approve me with my initial amount, but the branch refused and gave me a car that was approved for R90000, I only got the car on Thursday, of which upon inspection I was told the airbag light was on and they had to check it, which meant I can't take the car, I had to come back to collect the car( but they said they check the cars before they rent them out to clients) this was a BMW 320I, I had to pay a non refundable deposit twice of R1000. I eventually got the car and drove it to the equestria in Pretoria, by the robots this car blew a gasket, I had to then call the Consultant again, she and her husband came to my location and tried to assist, we ended up calling insurance and they send a tow truck to come get the car. Again I'm left without a car. I was told that they will fix the car and I won't have to worry. Again I don't have a car. Weeks went by and I was asked again to come collect another car, I told them that I want to cancel this agreement as I don't have a car and I'm only been rented cars that aren't driveable. They informed that I will have to pay a cancellation fee for a car that I don't have. Because I was desperate I went and got a Toyota aygo, I was happy with it, even though it wasn't the i30 that I was promised the day before(I was told the I30 was sold to another client because my approval was low) but the previous day I was pre approved for the I30. I took the Toyota and was informed that I can rent for 6 months I'm not allowed to cancel the contract before then, which was fine by me, however i can rent to buy after the 6 months is done, they make you sign both contracts to "avoid" you coming in again for the new rent to buy agreement, it will only kick in after the 6months is done. My 6 months was ending in Nov, I informed the company that I'm no longer able to continue with rent to buy as I'm no longer working, so I want to return the car because I've reached my 6 month rental period, I had not been able to pay the R6900 installment for sep and Nov, I asked that we can make an arrangement as soon as I get a job and can commit to paying the 2 installments, I was told that was fine and we can cancel. I made arrangements for them to come collect the car on the 13th Jan as no one contacted me in the beginning of Dec, the car is currently back with planet42, my shock comes when I received an email from Planet42 saying I now owe R43000 in cancellation fees. However they are will to make it R40000, I will have to settle with 5 days, mind you this was never discussed with me by the person who I informed that I'm not going to continue with the rent to buy option, I've served the 6month contract as agreed. I have not been contacted to explain this to me, I made it clear that they should rather bring the car back because I am not going to pay R43000 for something I don't have. I was furthermore treated by a external collections company if I fail to pay the settlement amount within 5 days. They haven't rep**** to my email at all and I have a feeling that they want to drag it out until the 5 days is over so they can hand me over. I need assistance with this issue. I cannot afford R43000 at all, they need to either bring the car back or sort this issue out.
