Worst service ever!!!!

THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST GYM YOU CAN JOIN!! I cancelled my membership In April 2022 when it expired and I clearly followed the instructions given to me via email. I did EXACTLY as they said. Fast forward to August 2022 and I have been informed that I have been handed over for being in arrears. They didn’t try contact me once for missed payments (which I didn’t miss) because they say I have cancelled my contract incorrectly and that I should have called Head Office. I told them that the information they provided was misleading and NO WHERE stated that you should call Head Office. They reply with “We will look into this and provide you with an email”. I have been calling everyone that might even be remotely related to PF to get an answer and they all provide the same answer “we will send you an email”. Now we are in September and I get a letter of demand. No one is willing to help me and they say I cannot cancel my contract anymore. They advised me to make a monthly arrangement until the arrears are over and then just pay the monthly fees that go with that. I contacted the agent that helped me upon signing up and he, too, just pulls his shoulders up. I am so mad!! If anyone knows of an ombudsman that assists with these issues please do advise me!!
