Worst gym and service

<p>My house mate, Francois Du Toit, and I joined Planet Fitness Claremont at the beginning of this month. As the month has gone by and we have been going to this gym, we have realised more and more equipment is broken or missing. You could literally point in any direction of the gym and find a fault. Most of it would have been avoidable with maintenance (oil, a bit of tlc) and the rest if there was an actual floor manager. Or ANY manager on that note. We jave lodged a complaint upon every visit with reception but that is where it seems to stay. I asked for more weights to be ordered but that didn't seem to be taken seriously. Even the complaint machines are broken in both the men's and women's bathrooms - ??? In repsonse to our complaints we have even been told, "Well that's Planet Fitness", Really?? I am a former member of Planet Fitness in Parklands and this gym was in a far better condition and there was always someone available if I had a query or complaint. After spedning 25 minutes looking for weights yesterday ( there is only one set of 5kg dumbells, no 7.5kg and 3 x 10kg dumbells in the WHOLE gym therefore forcing me to use weights far too heavy for me and risking injury just to get the work out that I went there for), which I was unable to find, and after climbing on 4 broken machines in a row... I couldn't bare it anymore. Francois and I went back to reception to ask how can terminate our contracts and we were handed a card and told to call the call centre and that we would be required to pay 60% of our fees up front to leave. No apologies, no concern. Utter indefference. We requested to speak to a manager (this was at 17:45), and told he has gone to Cavendish and is off duty. We requested when he will be on duty and the receptionist was unable to give us an answer to that. Really?????? So I sat on the phone this morning trying to reach the call center. I have been trying since 7:30 this morning and still get : " The number you have dialled is UNOBTAINABLE". As an avid gym-goer and someone who has been to variety of gyms in my life this is a first for me. Do not join this gym and can someone please tend to this. Disgrunteld and disgusted.</p>
