Waiting 15 months for cancelled membership refund

<p>I joined Planet Fitness (Wanderers) in March 2015, paying in full, and then cancelled my membership within the 5 day cooling off period as I had seen that I could rather join through Sanlam Reality, which I subsequently did, so I am now a member of Planet Fitness gym (Craighall Park). But despite very numerous attempts to be refunded my membership fee from March 2015, I still have no refund.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have automated responses to my queries PF ********** /PF ********** /PF ********** /PF ********** - Bilquees Era/Angelo Ndlovu/Nokothula Rapholo/Planet-WebForm-Query and the membership agent at Planet Fitness Craighall Park, Jabu, promised to sort this out in October 2015. I just don't seem to be able to get a proper response at all. Even speaking to a customer service agent at the call centre (eventually) is the same as a recorded message. Nobody seems to know anything at all or take any ownership to sort this out.</p> <p> </p> <p>This is a shocking company whose tactics appear to give the illusion of helping you while helping you not at all.</p> <p> </p> <p>I am hoping that recording my story on this site will provide warning to others thinking of joining Planet Fitness that they may have huge difficulties if there is ever any dispute with Planet Fitness. Try not to give them your bank details if you can avoid it - you could find unapproved amounts taken off your bank account and struggle to resolve this.</p>
