UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE

So my daughter signed up with Planet Fitness in December. Prior to signing up, I had asked the consultant if there are any penalties in the event of early cancellation, he advised that there will be no penalties as it is a student membership. Upon calling the head office, I was met with an extremely rude individual, who insisted that I would need to pay R1900 as early cancellation. I advised her what the consultant said and she still went on to say I am still liable for the cancellation fee as I signed a contract. This is absolutely pathetic, why would I not believe the consultant who signed us up. I told her that she is not authorised to deduct any funds from my account. I was met with such attitude and unprofessional behaviour. She did nothing to assist with my grievance. I have since had a whatsapp conversation with the consultant who signed up my daughter and he once again states that there should not be any penalties.
