unfair treatment an deceived

My name is sibusiso.I joined planet fitness on the 7th of January and I was told u can cancel within working days for free.after 5 days of joining I wmgot retrenched at work I went to Randfontein planet fitness to report I can nokonger continue with them since I have been retrenched.I was told to write an email to their call centre to cancel it call them of which I did but the call centre agent told me I can't cancel if I cancel I have to pay 60%of the total amount,I told her what I was told by an consulted @Randfontein planet fitness of 21 working days of which she said she doesn't know anything of such their grace period is 5days so I must just continue paying monthly or else they will blacklist me.so my question is how must I pay when I am nolonger working I feel do bad about this and even in Randfontein no one is ready to tel me I even spoke to thei manager.
