Unfair pricing and unauthorized debits

I would like to extend my disappointment with planet fitness, I remember when I came in it was because I saw the billboard of R299 a month and when I came in they told me about some another big amount which was R600 and something which a joining fee I don’t remember of how much and I said NO that’s too much.

The manager then came in and said I don’t have to pay a joining fee, I can pay R480 which I still felt is expensive but the sales person convinced about the convenience since I work in the same building and that I can only park my car there the whole day if I want, that was great for me because I had to pay for parking at my work place so I thought I at least I can save that amount and pay gym . I signed a contract there and I was a member.

Few weeks later upon using their parking the whole day the security guys started noticing that I park the whole day instead of few hours like other members and they told me I’m not allowed to park the whole day, went back to the guy and he said they shouldn’t do that I can park for as long as I want and it was this back and forth thing, I ended up stop parking there the whole day and paid for my office parking to avoid drama.

I started to regret my decision because now I’m way over budget but I still thought, it’s fine because I really need gym and it’s very convenient for me to go to this one. A colleague of mine also started gym at the same planet fitness maybe a month later and she just told me that she is paying R360 and she also never paid the joining fee, we are the same age working for the same company with 24 months contract but she is paying less than me, WHY???

Now this morning a got double debited my normal installment and annual levy that no bothered to mention to me, do you realize that all the money in my account was counted for, that money was waiting a debit order that I actually know and agreed on. Now I have to reverse debit like I’m an unorganized person.

It's quite clear to me that you don’t treat your clients the same and you have a lot of thing that you don’t mention at sales stage. As a paying member I thing I need answers on why am I paying R480 when other people are paying less and why those other options were not offered to me?? And why was I not told that there is a levy fee at the end of the year???

If not the let know how to get out of this contract WITHOUT any penalties because this was obviously a misrepresentation.
