Unfair practice when person loses job
Note to everybody else, that if someone loses their work and they freeze the contract - the person is still expected to pay 50% of the monthly fees. One can cancel, but then Planet Fitness still expects the months payments upfront for rest of contract. Regardless of whether the person can pay or not, which seems excessive for me as the person needs to find a job again. Note also this was written in regard to a family member and I just found it unfair practice. Plant Fitness stands to have no loss if they just froze it for free for a limited time.

This speaks against your practice and I am disgusted with what you do as a corporate! Young men and women that has never done a contract before are not aware of the pitfalls of contracts of what they sign and there is no prove that this was properly explained to them. They also thought they did a 12 month contract not 24! We paid the your stupid cancellation fee. Note to everyone out there - the cancellation fee for 24 month contract is paying in advance for 4 months (in which they can't even gym anymore0 & an admin fee - this is just so that a person that lost their job can help this poor company out of their misery... Shame on you.

20 Dec 2024, 10:20PS you deserve all the poor ratings you are given. I think it is a high time a new gym franchise enters this industry with fair practices. You used to be that in early 2000's but seems that this changed a lot.
