I bought a three year contract in 2010 from plattekloof planet fitness. When the 3 years was over they started to debt my account without informing me that they were going to do it. I then went to cancel the debt order and they left it for 6 months which then they starting debting my account again. And everytime i reversed it they would do it over. Eventually it became every two weeks and resulted in me closing my bank account. I did go in and tell them my contract was over and i have no intention of using it again and was told to contact head office which i did via email. They sent a reply saying they will look into it but they auto renew contracts and have informed clients of that which i was never informed of. I then never heard from them again this being the end of 2013 so i thought it was resolved however i recently got a call from saya debt collectors saying i owe planet fitness over 20 000 rand which is impossible as i haven't being using their facilities and i cancelled the contract despite the fact it was technically already over.
