Unchanged Debit Order after calling and asking for Buddy tag to be removed

When I signed up to Planet Fitness in August 2025, for whatever reason, I was also given a buddy tag. Which I didn't ask for.

I realised this in Feb of this year. I contacted Planet Fitness on the 09 of Feb to get the Buddy Tag "benefit" removed. I was told it would happen, but only be effective from March's Debit order. (Which I feel is ridiculous in its own right, but I accepted in the spirit of picking your battles).

Lo and behold, the end of March has come around, and nothing has changed with my Debit order. Given the issues my wife has also had with Planet Fitness, I don't know at this point whether Planet Fitness's operations team is *********** or if this is deliberate, in hopes that customers will accept their fate.

I've been told the only way for Planet Fitness to actually honour their commitments is to come onto Hello Peter and leave a poor review. This is rather a sad state of affairs and lends credence to my incompetence theory, but here I am, writing a scathing review in the hope that a company will do the bare minimum for one of its customers.
