Till Death Do Us Part !!!

I have exhausted all avenues in attempt to get my membership terminated with Planet Fitness Roodepoort. I have requested my membership to be cancelled for medical reasons.

I was advised by both the gym and call centre to submit a medical report for the contract to be terminated which I did.

Subsequent to this, I was told by the call centre that it is the General Managers decision to terminate the contract. I have since been taken round in circles by the call centre and gym staff including the general manager and ultimately with with no positive outcome. I was told at the end that the only way out of this contract is for me to die first.

I am also now unemployed due to the health condition and yet still being debited by planet fitness. I am now told that my account is handed over to legal. I requested for a payment arrangement to pay off the cancellation fee overtime since I am in no position to pay the cancellation fee upfront as stipulated. This also was denied. I was told my contract will be frozen in the meantime which has not happened as I'm still getting billed for monthly payments.

I have escalated this to Mannee de Wet(Director /CEO) in head office and have not received any feedback or response whatsoever.
