***** - THINK TWICE BEFORE JOINING PLANET FITNESS

I genuinely wish I could give this business a zero. We have been members for 12 months now, the facilities are subpar at based, always broken equipment on site. We have recently tried to cancel both my partners and my contract. Only need to find out that the sales associate forged my signature on a 24 month contract rather than a 12 month which my partner signed on my behalf. We are currently in the process of opening a ***** case against the sales consultant, and two months later still trying to cancel the debit order and the contract. Having to spend time at SAPS in the afternoon to try and get this sorted out is absolutely ridiculous. Over six emails sent and multiple calls – over 10 calls we have still not received any feedback. This is after going into the gym in person to try and rectify the situation first.

Leaving Planet Fitness/cancelling the contract here is incredibly difficult and I’d advise everyone to think their decision to join Planet Fitness over multiple times due to these situations. This is not the first time a situation like this has happened – I’ve already seek legal advice and it seems to be a consistent issue at Planet Fitness. If you do join ensure that you get your original contract/copy of your contract and keep it on hand in case the situation like this happens.
